Apex predators have returned to the restoration site in Padangbai, indicating that our coral restoration efforts are successful. The re-establishment of the food chain is a sign that the marine ecosystem is thriving.
Achievements
- Regenerated a reef area of 1,000 m²
- Planted over 35,000 coral fragments, grown in nurseries and naturally harvested
- Installed over 1,200 reef structures incl. reef stars, nurseries and bottle reefs
