In December 2024, a European foundation donated a total of 60,000 €, enabling the Livingseas Foundation to scale up its coral restoration efforts through the installation of new nurseries. Temporal succession of reef fish communities on restored reefs of varying ages (Solen Perrochon, 2026).

This study describes and analyses the temporal succession of reef fish communities across restored reefs of varying ages by comparing five sites representing a restoration gradient ranging from 3 months to 3 years, alongside an unrestored reference site.

This internship report aimed to analyze the growth dynamics of Acropora corals at depths of 5 m and 10 m.

This Impact Report has been specifically researched to examine the financial impact of the reef restoration project on the local community as well as to examine the
financial implications.

The basis of this Impact Report is an academic research paper by C. Jurgens, “A
socio-economic impact study of a coral restoration site in Baung Penyu, Bali”, AgroParisTech University Paris-Saclay, as well as Livingseas’ monitoring reports on coral growth and fish populations from 2023 and 2024.
